ELERI Collection

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend classes run by the well-known silversmith Rauni Higson at her workshop in Talysarn, which is where I live. I learnt how to use 'jump rings to create a variety of chains in sterling silver.
I decided to name the different chains after family homes and places which are significant to Iona and me. The names are also connected to water because the patterns of the chains remind me of flowing water.

The Gwynant chain is an old Byzantine pattern which is sometimes called Idiot's delight.
It is an attractive pattern and very popular.

Gwynant Bach is the most intricate pattern I have. It is a finer version of Gwynant and if you like
jewellery which is dainty and light to wear then Gwynant Bach would be suitable for you.

The Pistyll and Penrhyn chains appeal to people who prefer lightweight simple jewellery
which can be worn every day.

Brynffynnon and Feinwen chains are striking and more complicated, perfect for wearing on special occasions.

This is an attractive chain which has a more open pattern, suitable for dressing up to go on a special evening out.

If you like chunky jewellery then y Felin is the pattern for you. It is slightly heavier than the other
chains and attracts attention.

This is a very pretty chain because the pattern twists while it is being worn.

This is a traditional chain similar to a plait. The rings knit together to create a dense and intricate pattern.

Gwenffrwd is the newest chain I have just in time for Christmas. It is made from twisted silver wire jump rings which give the chain a frosty appearance.

The necklaces usually measure 45cm and the bracelets 19cm but they can easily be lengthened or shortened as required. Also it is possible to choose a pattern using larger or smaller jump rings.

All the earrings complement the necklaces and bracelets but the exact pattern can be ordered to match a particular piece.
I have also started using rose gold plated jump rings which add a little colour to the silver earrings.
